Link Down

This event is triggered when when a Gen2 Capture Card (which is included in most of Network Instruments' hardware probes) reports that, although it can detect a carrier signal, there is no traffic on the link.

Possible reasons for the event:

n	a device under analysis is malfunctioning.

n	one side of the full-duplex cable is loose at the TAP, or on any of the devices.
